The Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has declared that the present administration in the State will establish an anti-corruption agency that will curb the menace of fund misappropriation.

The Governor stated this while delivering his speech at a two-day induction and Orientation service organized for members-elect of the Ninth Assembly in the State.
He stressed that the Assembly would get a Bill seeking to establish the Oyo state Anti- Corruption Agency immediately after the inauguration of the House, disclosed the readiness of his government to fight corruption in the State.

Gov. Makinde stressed further that his administration will work with the State Assembly, guaranteed financial autonomy and urged the legislative Arm to engage in a cordial relationship with the Executive in order to achieve greater heights.
" I am hopeful that the incoming Assembly would become the best Oyo Assembly ever ". He added.

Earlier in her welcome address, the Clerk of the House, Ms. Foluke Oyediran appreciated the State Government for giving out a credible opportunity to the Members-elect, to be well equipped in order to face the task ahead in a lawmaking system.

A Member-elect, representing Ibarapa State Constituency, Hon. Debo Ogundoyin while delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of other members- elects promised a cordial relationship with the Executive Arm of Government, added that the 9th Assembly will pass Bills that will bring rapid development to Oyo State.
